The person in this position will be responsible for supporting the physical infrastructure in our studio. They will ensure our systems are functional, secure and running optimally. They will support the users with hardware and software purchasing/license management. They will be responsible for ensuring faulty equipment is repaired or replaced.

Reporting

The IT Support Specialist will report to the IT Manager.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide technical assistance, administer, support and troubleshoot for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware
  • Installation and management of client workstations and server room equipment (firewalls, switches, etc.)
  • Management of cabling and wireless access points around the studio
  • Overseeing hardware and software purchases for the team
  • Management of software licenses
  • Work with external suppliers on repair and replacement of faulty equipment
  • Plan, prioritize, respond, and resolve issues either remotely, in person, over the phone, or by email
  • Ensure technical helpdesk tickets are kept up to date and actioned in the corporate helpdesk ticketing system
  • Working with escalation teams and end users to ensure issues are resolved

 

Experience and Skills Required

  • 2+ years of experience in information technology
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux OS installation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting laptop, desktop, printer and meeting hardware issues
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting basic network, VPN, email (Google Workspace, Office 365, etc)
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to manage priorities
  • Capabilities required to provide in-person and remote IT support
  • Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Knowledge of support software and remote access systems
  • Valid driver's license
