We are looking for an HR generalist to collaborate with the HR Director and Haven’s Studio Leadership. This role is responsible for implementing and improving HR policies and programs with a strong focus on developing individualized career plans for all members of the Haven team. This person will oversee the onboarding program and be the main point of contact for new employees on the topics of benefits, studio policies and how to find what they need at Haven and Playstation. This person will help create and implement HR best practices that will promote Haven’s Values of Kindness, Adaptability, Fearless optimism and Excellence with the goal of building a positive and inclusive company culture.

The HR Generalist will report to the HR Director

 

Responsibilities

  • Innovate and lead the onboarding experience for all new employees 
  • Design and manage the training and career development programs for the studio. Define personal career plans for individuals that meet their needs. Identify training opportunities, facilitate the booking and follow up with employees and managers on employee progress towards their goals.
  • Improve the overall Employee Lifecycle and Experience by recommending best practices and implementing positive changes
  • Participate in creating, updating and improving company policies, procedures, and programs in collaboration with Haven leadership and Sony stakeholders.
  • Act as a resource for managers and employees on policies, procedures/practices related to human resources, training & benefits. Become a bridge to Sony Interactive Entertainment head office resources and programs.
  • Assist in the administration and communication of the company’s benefits program in regard to plan options, policy features, enrollment and other requirements.
  • Collaborate with the HR Director in HR tasks related to implementation of HR tools, performance management, career growth and employee experience 
  • Collaborate with the Workplace Manager, Recruiters and Communications team on HR related initiatives and tasks (e.g. employment branding, career page of the website, social media posts, candidate communications and recruitment events)

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field 
  • 5-7 years human resources experience 
  • Experience in developing and executing a wide range of HR  projects
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Slack, and Workday
  • Bilingual (French and English)
  • Demonstrated business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information
  • Experience in developing, maintaining or executing scalable and stable processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels and at all locations within the company
  • Able to react quickly and efficiently to changes in priorities
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with a positive attitude

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • CHRP/CHRL in progress or completed
  • Knowledge of Quebec employment laws is a plus
  • A passion or a interest for video games is a plus
