We are looking for a Business Strategy and Live Performance Finance Manager to join our team. The Business Strategy and Live Performance Finance Manager will maximize the profitability of an original AAA game while respecting its identity and improving its experience. In this role you will work closely with the leaders of the production, finance and management teams to co-build the business aspects of development, including business models, monetization and live performance KPIs. You will define and drive the strategy that enables the game to successfully achieve its targets in terms of financial performance and lifespan. Reporting The Business Strategy & Live Performance Finance Manager will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the Head of Production.

The Business Strategy & Live Performance Finance Manager  will report to the Head of Operations and work closely with the Head of Production.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and follow the P&L and work on the forecast of the project in order to maximize profitability
    Analyze and compare the forecast and budgets to actuals
  • Define and implement KPIs as well as mechanics for collecting and analyzing data to monitor the game’s daily and long-term live performance
  • Assess and develop the game’s monetization strategy through guiding design and business model choices
    Partner with the monetization team to design and implement the game’s business model and game economy design,  ensuring to stay relevant in the current market and optimize the monetization revenues
  • Work closely with the production team to identify levers that could positively impact game’s financial performance Propose initiatives to improve acquisition, retention, and monetization in line with market trends and game direction
  • Work with the creative director and producer on project priorities in order to maintain and grow the player community
  • Partner with marketing, creative, production and brand management teams to identify and explore new business opportunities

Minimum Qualifications

  • Significant track record of achievements in monetization, administration, financial planning, or digital operations
  • Deep knowledge in the key performance metrics that drive game performance. Proven records of driving innovative initiatives to generate positive revenue growth
  • Bachelors in Commerce or equivalent professional experience
  • Deep experience launching successful live service products (PC/Console)
  • Experience in building complex in-game economies and business strategies
  • Avid gamer and strong interest in the gaming industry
  • Thorough understanding of acquisition, retention, and monetization concepts
  • Experience with structured, hypothesis-driven product improvements, rigorous metrics analysis, consumer insights and design experimentation
  • Ability to build strong relationships with partners and positively influence your ecosystem
  • Positive influence, negotiation, strong communications skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong spreadsheet skills (Excel, Google Sheets)
